A light bodied, yet flavorful and smooth blend. Carefully developed by special leaf selection, analysis, blending and tasting. Burns smoothly with no bitter aftertaste on the palate. No chemical flavorings or casings added.

  • Vengeur Platinum
A premium, medium bodied blend, enhanced by the addition of exceptional flue-cured tobaccos and developed to be smooth and flavorful, this interpretation of the classic U.S. Blend style is delightfully complex with a balanced finish. No chemical flavorings added.

I like the Vengeur flavor. Picked up two bags of Rowland and one bag of Vengeur. Wish I had ordered two bags of Vengeur!

I m a big fan of the Vengeurs, the Light/Silver, the regular Vengeur and especially the Platinum. The regular Vengeur is just a great tasting full flavor smoke in the classic US style. I think many newbies would really appreciate the taste coming from Marlboros and Winstons. Just a very clean tobacco flavor. Good tobacco for blending as well; KL has several blend suggestions in the 'Blends section' featuring this one for the Burley component......tasty. ;)

The Platinum is my favorite from the Vengeur family. A little lighter in body, smooth and tasty but still satisfying. This to me is almost the perfect US blend, with absolutely no bitterness from the Burley making it an ultra-smooth selection. Hard to improve the regular Vengeur imo, but I think Mark did just that with the Platinum. A tasty alternative to PS' Norwegian Shag.

Another great thing about these tobaccos is that they are still under $20.00 a lb (last I checked anyways), so I ll always have some in my stash! Not hard to see why D&R remains one of the top contenders in RYO with these selections in his arsenal. ymmv :winker:

Venguer is a typical US blend. The taste is familar to those who smoked Marlboro or Marlboro Medium. For some, it makes for a good everday tobacco. And its familiar taste makes it a good smoke for those making the transition from pre-mades. As a personal choice, a 50/50 blend of Windsail and Two Timer is preferrable to Venguer.

Vengeur is not my favorite D&R blend. To my tastes there is no real standout characteristic or layers of complex flavor to explore. Don't get me wrong, its still good tobacco, but standouts like Three Sails and Ramback have more to offer.

Vengeur Plat is another one of my favorites. Smooth and on the lighter side, yet satisfying and leaves a nice flavor on the palate. Another one I'll keep in my daily lineup.

As an unblended smoke, I prefer Venegeur, But for Blending VP is really versatile!

Vengeur is my "new" everyday smoke, I have to agree with Dave and Doug on both counts as a good trasfer smoke and an Excellent everyday smoke, on a side note my brother came over to visit today and I handed him a Vengeur stick he took one drag and went out to his truck came back with an empty Marlboro box and requested that I fill it with some "real" cigarettes, I'm think we just got another RYOrevolutionary! :winker:

Glad to hear you converted your brother. The more the merrier
Vengeur plat is without a doubt my first choice for a daily smoke. I switch up now and then and smoke something else for a day or 2 but I keep coming back to the veng plat. Although anything's possible, I just don't see anything topping it on my list of daily smokers.

I prefer the Vangeur platinum to the reg Vangeur. My thoughts are that the platinum is smoother and the burly is either a better burly are it's just very well comouflaged. I don't get that burly taste in my mouth like I do with the reg.

The platinum is a good standalone smoke, that I could smoke everyday. Let me rephrase that- If I had to smoke just one baccy I could smoke platinum everyday. I'm so into smoking different baccy everyday that I don't think I wanna smoke the same thing everyday anymore. :smocap:
